December 17, 2020Great news, International Visitors can now book a stay in French St Martin!
While French St Martin has been receiving guests at private accommodations including these luxury St Martin villa rentals, guests have not been allowed to stay at hotels. The Préfecture recently announced this is now possible!
In order to allow international visitors to book their accommodation in the French part of the island, travelers whose PCR tests exceed 72 hours (or antigenic tests exceed 48 hours) upon arrival will be invited to do a complementary antigenic test. Travelers will then have to carry out a control test within a maximum of 2 days after the date of arrival in the French territory. This control test (antigenic) is free for all, your passport and a certificate of accommodation (from your hotel, guest house or villa) will be requested.
However, only accommodation providers who have signed a convention will be able to welcome international visitors. Popular properties including La Playa in Orient Bay and the Grand Case Beach Club are open while the luxury Belmond La Samanna Resort will reopen on February 15, 2021!
Travelers coming from the following countries: Bahrain, Iran, Lebanon, Panama, Russia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United States, Iran, Lebanon, Panama, South Africa and United States; Ukraine; Algeria; China: Ecuador; Iraq; Israel; Morocco; DRC; Turkey; Zimbabwe must follow the above, except for countries for which no test is requested including the EU member states and the following countries : Great Britain; Norway; Australia; New Zealand; Singapore; Thailand; Iceland; Switzerland; Japan; Rwanda; South Korea.
