St Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport began using its recently-installed temporary Arrival Pavilion over the weekend. The new Arrival Pavilion has been constructed adjacent to the Departure Pavilion, which will centralise the traffic flow in the common public parking area.
According to an airport press release Friday, although a temporary solution, passengers can expect more comfort and ease as they clear the Immigration and Customs process on arrival to the island.
According to the SXM Airport Management, the fully carpeted and air-conditioned facilities will also feature food and beverage, car rental and VIP concessions. An area has been allocated for car rental concessions on the outskirts of the Arrival Pavilion, for added convenience of arriving passengers.
Passengers who arrived on airlines such as KLM, Delta, American Airlines and JetBlue over the weekend were amongst the first who passed through the new facility.
